A Collection of Yo-Yo and Spin Top Paintings

This series of paintings was created to share at the 2008 World Yo-Yo Contest. The series consists of classic yo-yos from many different eras, ranging from highly collectable, to modern technological feats. The paintings were sold to private collectors and the manufacturing companies. A few ended up in the National Yo-Yo Museum.

The yo-yos were painted through a series of stencils and masks using acrylic spray paint, in both matte and metalic colors. The details were added with brushwork. As most of these spinning toys are discontinued, only remnants of the object remain.
